I have been lucky enough to work at West Wycombe Preschool for around 3 years but have known many of the staff for much longer due to my own children attending in previous years. I am mum to 4 wonderful children of my own, 3 girls and 1 boy, ranging in age from 14 to 1 years old who keep me nice and busy at home! I have worked with children in a voluntary capacity on and off for the best part of 20 years (currently coaching a local grass roots U9’s football team).
Working with children is a privilege. I strongly believe that if we provide children with a safe and nurturing environment at Preschool to grow and explore, it allows them to feel valued, secure, confident in who they are and be as prepared as they can be for their school journey ahead. My particular area of interest is working with children (and their families) who may face additional challenges along their way. After learning British Sign Language (Level 2) in 2016, I went on to complete a degree in Education with Special Educational Needs, Disability and Inclusion. This further fuelled my desire to help ensure all children have the opportunity to access a quality education allowing them to reach their potential. Since returning from maternity leave, I am enjoying getting to know each of the children and their families and watching them grow and flourish during their time with us at Preschool.
