Volunteer Treasurer Vacancy

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treasurer to oversee the financial management of our pre-school charity. This volunteer role is vital in ensuring the smooth running of the organization’s finances and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the charity operates within its means.
  • Budgeting: Assist with preparing budgets and providing financial insights to the committee.
  • Banking: Oversee banking activities, including managing payments and deposits.
  • Regulatory Compliance: File annual accounts and returns with the Charity Commission in a timely manner.
  • Financial Reporting: Present financial updates at committee meetings and prepare year-end accounts.
  • Ad Hoc Activities: Support the committee with any additional financial tasks as needed.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
  • Strong organizational and numerical skills.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial planning.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
