We have used our developing democracy skills to learn all about voting!
The children had a range of stories they wanted us to read so we took a class vote. The children lined up next to the story they wanted to choose and counted how many children were in each line . They were then able to tell the teachers which vote had the biggest number and which had the smallest number. The story with the biggest number is the one we enjoyed all together.
